Our homework for this week will be:
1. Continue working on voScreen until scene 60th in the section of voStructure of MODALS.
2. I was wondering if you could start preparing the first parts of the monologue. Working in these steps 1-5 of writing a monologue. They are highlighted in yellow.
It is a speech presented by a single character, most often to express their mental thoughts aloud, though sometimes also to directly address another character or the audience. Monologues are common across the range of dramatic media (plays, films, etc.), as well as in non-dramatic media such as poetry.
How to write a monologue
- Decide your topic.
- Decide the perspective of the monologue.
- Determine the purpose of the monologue.
- Decide who will be addressed in the monologue.
- Search for information to support your ideas.
- Consider the beginning, middle, and end of the monologue.
- Read other monologues.
- Start the monologue with a hook.
- Use your character’s voice and language.
- Allow your character to reflect on the past and the present.
- Add description and detail.
- Have a button ending.
- Read the monologue out loud.
- Have an actor perform the monologue for you.
3. Bring to the next class some colored sheet papers, images related to education, glue, scissors.
